Key November 2025 Tax Deadlines for Individuals

As autumn draws to a close and the holiday season ramps up, it’s easy to let tax obligations slip your mind. However, staying on top of tax deadlines is crucial for maintaining financial peace of mind. Here’s what you need to keep track of in November 2025:

November 10 - Reporting Tips to Your Employer

If you’re an employee earning tips and you've received more than $20 in tips during October 2025, it’s mandatory to report them to your employer using IRS Form 4070 by November 10. Your employer is obligated to withhold Social Security (FICA) taxes and income tax from these tips along with your regular pay. Should your salary not be enough to cover this withholding, the employer will note the uncollected amount in box 8 of your annual W-2 form. You'll need to address this shortfall when filing your annual tax return.

Weekends & Holidays: When a filing or payment due date lands on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, it’s postponed to the next business day. This allows extra time, ensuring you don’t fall afoul of the IRS timelines.
